Biography:
Michaela graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a BSc in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, where her educational interests broadly involved biostatistics and neuroscience. Since joining the lab in 2023, Michaela's research interests have taken a new direction towards environmental metagenomics and the emerging field of microbial bioinformatics. Her primary goal is to explore the ecological significance of microorganisms and leverage findings in these areas to promote sustainable resource management practices.
