Biography:
I am Jing-Yuan BIAN, currently pursuing a Ph.D. under the co-supervision of Dr. Franklin Chow and Dr. XIONG Qing. My research interests lie primarily in the fields of bioinformatics and genomics.
My doctoral research focuses on dust mite allergens, analyzing their diversity from a multi-omics perspective. I believe that through our research, we will gain a deeper understanding of mite characteristics and revolutionize traditional allergy immunotherapies, ultimately improving people's quality of life. Additionally, I have been involved in several genomic studies on human pathogens, such as Candidozyma auris, Talaromyces marneffei, and influenza A.
I always strive to ensure practical applications of my work, which aligns perfectly with the motto of PolyU: "To learn and to apply, for the benefit of mankind."
